Caroline Fitzgerald, PE, Northeast Client Relations, RMF Engineering, Inc.
Caroline has always been passionate about the built environment and spent the first half of her career as a structural engineer designing many award-winning building projects, an experience that gives her a unique perspective on the challenges of creating memorable spaces. A mid-career move back to Boston allowed her to pivot toward the business side of practice. In her current role at RMF Engineering she is focused on aligning the firm’s services to client needs and developing long-lasting partnerships. A lifelong learner, Caroline says that she has never had a dull moment on the job – there is something new and interesting to explore every day. A native New Yorker, Caroline resides in historic Lexington and holds a BS in Civil Engineering from Tufts University.

In her current role, she focuses on retail environments, delivering thoughtful and strategic design solutions that align brand identity with user experience. She collaborates closely with multidisciplinary teams to navigate complex project requirements while supporting strong client relationships. A lifelong learner, she continuously seeks opportunities to grow both technically and as a leader, with a strong interest in advancing equity and inclusion within the profession. Originally from Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, she now resides in the New Hampshire area and holds both a Bachelor of Science in Architecture and a Master of Architecture from the Boston Architectural College.
