Position description
Currently, we are seeking a Project Manager to join our Project Development Service team in Boston, MA. This position will support multiple new assignments in our life science, healthcare and retail practices, as well as continuing to support tenant interior project work as needed.
Position Summary:
• Works as part of the Project Team, assisting with the development of scope and schedule for project work
• Provide superior client service
• Contribute to the growth of the company by maintaining high client satisfaction scores, developing quality relationships with clients, contractors and vendors to cultivate new business opportunities.

Essential Functions:
• Manage projects and assignments with little or no executive oversight.
• Upon award of a project, develop project specific and client driven goals, schedules, budgets and detailed assumptions.
• Establish and maintain project goals and success criteria the meets the client needs.
• Coordinate any necessary due diligence efforts on behalf of the client, maintaining and delivering all appropriate documentation.
• Develop a detailed project budget based on historical and market data and clearly defined set of budget assumptions.
• Guide the client and team through the design implementation process including conceptual, schematic, design development and construction documentation and signoff.
• Proactively manage project-related issues
• Develop budget, scope and schedule for assigned projects.
• Lead and document all weekly meetings.
• Coordinate and track all Vendor RFP's. Maintain accurate and consistent electronic files and documentation.
• Coordinate activities of sub-contractors and relocation of technical functions.
• Interact and negotiate with contractors and subcontractors
• Prepare/update project status reports, process purchase orders and invoices, update tracking reports and maintain files.
• Demonstrate a proactive focus on meeting client and project requirements in a timely and cost effective manner.
• Demonstrate proficiency in the use and application of all PDS technology as required for assigned projects.
• Participate in project pursuits and new business development opportunities
• Ensure accurate management of all accounts receivables to maintain a level not to exceed planned working capital charge as set by corporate finance, account finance team and/or the Regional Operations Manager.
• Assist Local PDS Team in meeting AGM numbers on a Regional and National level as determined on a yearly basis by the Management Executive Committee.
• Comply with all Jones Lang LaSalle policies and procedures, including but not limited to ethics and business practice.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA)
• 7-10 years of practical experience in interior design, construction management or real estate
• Ability to manage Scope, Budgeting, Scheduling, Submittals, Change orders
• Healthcare, Life Science or Retail experience required
• Demonstrated high level of performance in project budgeting, contract negotiations and scheduling
• Understanding of technical requirements for a business relocation
• Full understanding of architectural drawings and furniture and space planning concepts a plus
• Highly organized with strong analytical skills
• Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to interact with executive level external and internal clients
• Organizational skills with the ability to identify and manage priorities
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Detail oriented
• Ability to multi-task and work both in a team and independently
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, MS Project experience required
• Flexibility with work hours and travel as needed

Minimum Required Education:
• Bachelor Degree from an accredited institution in, Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management preferred
