Position description

Currently, we are seeking a Associate Project Manager to join our Project Development Service team in Boston, MA. 

Position Summary:

•     Works as part of the Project Team, assisting with the development and management of budget scope and schedule for project work

•     Provide superior client service

•     Contribute to the growth of the company by maintaining high client satisfaction scores and quality relationships with contractors and vendors.

•     Enhance own professional and personal skills

Essential Functions:

•     Support project executives on large complex projects and assignments in addition to running smaller projects individually

•     Proactively manage project-related issues on account or assignment.

•     Develop scope and schedule for assigned projects.

•     Assist in design coordination.

•     Coordinate, conduct and document all weekly meetings.

•     Develop and track all Vendor RFP's. 

•     Assist in interviewing process for all vendors

•     Maintain accurate and consistent electronic files and documentation.

•     Coordinate activities of sub-contractors and relocation of technical functions.

•     Interact and negotiate with contractors and subcontractors

•     Coordinate activities with the client's landlord(s)

•     Coordinate walkthroughs of client sites with all parties as required

•     Coordinate relocation services for client including liquidation services of client's unwanted furniture and decommissioning of current space.

•     Prepare/update project status reports, process purchase orders and invoices, update tracking reports and maintain files.

•     Demonstrate a proactive focus on meeting client and project requirements in a timely and cost effective manner.

•     Demonstrate proficiency in the use and application of all PDS technology as required for assigned projects.

•     Assist Local PDS Team in meeting AGM numbers on a Regional and National level as determined on a yearly basis by the Management Executive Committee (not applicable for Accounts). 

•     Comply with all Jones Lang LaSalle policies and procedures, including but not limited to ethics and business practice.

•     Proactively seek out new opportunities for PDS.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA)

•     3-5 years experience with a general contractor/construction manager or project management firm required

•     Healthcare, Life Science or Retail experience a plus

•     Ability to prepare and track budgets

•     Ability to prepare and maintain project schedules

•     Understanding of technical requirements for a business relocation

•     Familiarity with architectural drawings and furniture and space planning concepts

•     Flexibility with work hours and travel as needed

•     Highly organized with strong analytical skills

•     Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to interact with executive level external and internal clients

•     Organizational skills with the ability to identify and manage priorities

•     Excellent written and verbal communication skills

•     Detail oriented

•     Ability to multi-task and work both in a team and independently

•     Excellent time management skills with an ability to prioritize responsibilities

•     Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

•     Ability to anticipate and identify project risks and provide solutions

•     Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Report to: Project Manager/Senior Vice President

Minimum Required Education:

•     Associate or Bachelor Degree from an accredited institution in Accounting, Business, Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management strongly preferred.
