The new MA Data Security Law goes into effect March 1, 2010 and requires ALL companies who handle any Massachusetts citizens name, credit card number, social security number, drivers license number/state issued id or financial account number to protect it according to stringent standards or be faced with substantial financial penalties for non-compliance.
