Please be advised that AGC of MA is in compliance with the NEW Law MGL -93H- and its new regulations 201 CMR 17.00 - Standards for the Protection of Personal Information of  Massachusetts Residents.

The law will go into effect on March 1, 2010 and will require that any companies or persons who store or use personal information about a Massachusetts resident, develop a written, regularly audited plan to protect personal information. Both electronic and paper records will need to comply with the new law.

LEED Green 3.0 Associate Program

Credentialing system for LEED has changed!  To become a LEED AP you must first pass the LEED Green Associates Exam.  Join AGC for the prep course for LEED GA.

Mar 26  - 8:30 AM - 12:30 PM - Test Driving BIM: an interactive presentation - In this unique session we'll evaluate the advantages of implementing BIM into your business and test drive the best productivity features that users can leverage immediately.  Through brief demonstrations and hands-on test drives you'll experience REVIT, Navisworks, and QTO first hand. Throughout the session we will have open discussion about  selecting, implementing and using the right software for your business.

Apr 2 - 8:30 AM - 12:30 PMWorkshop 1 - BIM Coordination (Clash Detection with REVIT and Navisworks.  Wouldn't it be great to avoid last minute changes that occur in the field?  You'll learn how to perform "interference checks" (clash detection) with two different software packages:  REVIT and Navisworks. We will discuss the pros and cons of each application.

Apr 9 - 8:30 AM -12:30 PM - Workshop 2 - BIM/VDC Estimating (Revit and QTO) - You will learn how to perform quick preliminary takeoffs in REVIT and then move into Autodesk QTO where you'll use the model along with 2D documents to develop a more detailed takeoff.

Apr 23 - 8:30 AM - 12:30 PM - Workshop 3 - BIM/VDC Construction Sequencing ( REVIT and Navisworks) - Learn how to take a BIM Model into Navisworks and how to link building model elements to your construction schedule in order to assist with 4D planning in a visual way.

Apr 30 - 8:30 AM - 12:30 PM - BIM/VDC Modeling - Filling in the Gaps (from PDF and CAD to REVIT) - Models that you receive from the design team are often not developed, detailed or organized in a way that best suits a GC/CM. We'll take an introductory look at how to edit and update the models to best suit your needs. You'll learn how to get the information you need from the model to the field.
