Lauring Construction, Inc.
John Lauring has grown up working for the Lauring family-owned business. He is presently the Chief Executive Officer and has experience in all aspects of operating a smaller-sized construction firm. He is a member of the Massachusetts Bar and a director of Commonwealth National Bank. Mr. Lauring received a B.S.C.E degree from Tufts University in 1976 and earned a J.D. degree in 1984 from Western New England College of Law.

Lisa Wexler, President, Elaine Construction, Inc.
Lisa Wexler is the third generation of the Wexler family responsible for the stewardship of ELAINE Construction Company, Newton, MA. Lisa is a graduate of UVM and Harvard’s Executive MBA program. Recent honors include: 2008 Enterprising Women’s Magazine Entrepreneur of the Year; 2009 New England Women Business Owners Entrepreneur of the Year; 2009 Northeastern University Center for Family Business Marshall Paisner Award Winner.

Bob has over 30 years in the construction industry from sales and estimating to project management. He founded Senate Construction in 1990 to offer his clients more complete real estate development needs. Bob has a B.S. in Civil Engineering from Northeastern University.

Secretary, AGC of Massachusetts Jeffrey DeMarco
President, Campanelli Companies
With a BS in Civil Engineering from Union College, Jeff joined Campanelli Companies in 1983 as a Project Manager and is now a Partner in the Company as well as President of Campanelli Associates Construction Corporation. Jeff has supervised the construction of over 14 million square feet of commercial, industrial and retail development. Jeff’s duties include land development, community relations, project cost analysis and permitting.

William Aalerud

Bill Aalerud joined A.J. Martini, Inc. eighteen years ago and was named president and chief operating officer in 2002. Bill is a former member of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts’ Designer Selection Board and serves on the Education Facilities Planning & Building Committee for the Town of Winchester. He has a degree in civil engineering and received his MBA from Babson College.
Joseph Albanese Founder & CEO, Commodore Builders, Inc.
Joe is founder and CEO of Commodore Builders. He is a Registered Professional Engineer, with a BSCE from UMass Lowell and an MBA from Boston University. His career in construction has included positions with A.J. Martini, Macomber and Shawmut, founding Commodore in 2002. In 2007, Joe served in the Middle East leading the 22nd Naval Construction Regiment (fwd), he retired from the U.S. Navy Civil Engineer Corps as a Captain in September, 2009.
Timothy Bonfatti, Principal and COO

After eight years as the President and a Principal/COO of the RF Walsh Co., Inc. and RF Walsh Project Management Inc., Tim Bonfatti started Compass Project Management, Inc. to provide results-oriented project and construction management services to clients in the private and public sector. Tim is the 2009 Chairman of the Associated General Contractors of Massachusetts, a member of the Board of Overseers for the Boston Architectural College, and serves on the Medfield School Committee. He is also a member of the Massachusetts Bar.

Len Charney
Head of Practice, Boston Architectural College
Len’s diverse 30-year career has focused on three professional areas: design and construction management, community planning and real estate development, and experiential education and career training. His most recent AIA grant has focused on Most recently he secured an AIA grant to study building information modeling and its impact on design education, with special emphasis on understanding how project stakeholders can work more collaboratively. Len holds a Masters of Architecture from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, a Masters in Teaching from Antioch College, and a Bachelors of Science from Cornell University.

Anthony Consigli Past Chair, AGC of Massachusetts

Anthony became President of Consigli Construction in 1994 as the fourth generation of his family, along with his brother Matthew, to lead the firm. Through his vision and stewardship the firm has evolved from a small general contractor to a 300-person organization with annual revenues in excess of $250 million. He is past chairman of the AGC of Massachusetts and serves on the boards of the Knox Trail Council for the Boy Scouts of America, the Higgins Armory Museum and Workshop, and Preservation Massachusetts. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in economics from Harvard University.

Denise joined the family business after working as an assistant to the city project manager on a 100 million dollar library in San Francisco. She has worked in the firm as an accounting specialist, contract compliance coordinator, human resources manager and business development manager for the last 14 years. Denise has a B.S. in Marketing and is presently earning a second degree in Accounting & Finance from Northeastern University.

Jeffrey Gouveia
Chief Operating Officer, Suffolk Construction Company
As COO, Jeff is responsible for managing Suffolk’s largest construction management group, its Northeast Operations, which focuses on projects in the commercial, residential, hospitality, federal government, education and healthcare sectors. Jeff and his team are actively managing over $1.5 billion of construction and responsible for over $850 million in annual revenue.

Deborah is an attorney in the Construction Industry Practice Group of the national law firm Holland & Knight LLP. She concentrates her practice in the area of construction, commercial litigation and bankruptcy. She regularly advises contractors, owners and sureties on construction contracts, administration and claim matters and handles construction disputes from start to finish.
